ABOUT THIS CONCERT:
March 2027 marks the 200th anniversary of the death of Beethoven. We will be celebrating this incredible artist with a concert entirely dedicated to his music – first, the Coriolan overture, which is a powerful and deeply moving work, followed by his fifth piano concerto, which is one of the most spiritual and serenely beautiful works that Beethoven ever wrote. After the intermission, the audience will be treated to one of the most iconic works of all time in the fifth symphony. This is an extraordinary testament to the perseverance and power of the human spirit - the classic struggle with fate, and the ultimate victory of humanity. Bum-bum-bum-bummmmm!
