lindsey keay

A native of Calgary, Canada, Lindsey Keay attended The University of Texas in Austin where she graduated with honors, receiving her B.M. in Music Studies and Human Learning, a Performance Certificate in Flute, and Texas Teaching Certification. Lindsey received a M.M. in Flute Performance and a Ph.D. in Music Education from The University of Southern Mississippi. A fervent performer, Lindsey currently serves as second flute in Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, piccolo/third flute in the Meridian Symphony Orchestra, and is a regular player with the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and Ballet, Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra, and Mobile Symphony Orchestra. She currently holds the position of Associate Director of Bands and Instructor of Flute at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS where she teaches applied flute lessons, directs the flute choir, symphonic band, and marching band, as well as teaching music education courses. Active in both music performance and education, Lindsey has performed and taught across the United States as well as Singapore, Austria, Canada, and Colombia. She is a certified yoga instructor, loves spending time outdoors, competitive powerlifting, and spending time with her friends, family, cats, and fiancΓ© Quintus.
