LYO Video Audition Guidelines

1) Make sure you have read through the audition requirements for your instrument and ensemble.

2) Please follow these instructions for the video recording:

  • Video recordings can be made using whatever device you have available (smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc.)

  • The recording must be continuous and unedited.

  • Make sure there is plenty of light and the quality is clear. We should be able to see you and your instrument completely. Make sure the music stand is not blocking the view of you playing. If you are playing a larger instrument, please capture as much of yourself in the frame as possible. Please do not sit in front of a window, the sunlight creates too much of a shadow on you to see clearly.

3) Once you have made your recording, you may upload it to YouTube or a preferred storage or video platform. Copy the link to the video and submit it on the online registration form.

4) Deadline for submission: Fall Auditions are open until August 31, 2023 .
